Our growing optometric practice in Kindersley, Saskatchewan is looking for someone to share its future with!

Absolutely Eyes opened business in Kindersley in 2013 to bring full-scope eye care to a rural community who had limited access to optometric services (a satellite for Oyen Optometry which was established in 1993). Our tight-knit team creates the perfect environment for new optometrists to thrive as independent doctors, and advance in areas of special interest while keeping familiar with their medical and urgent care skills.

Practice where optometry is exciting, rewarding, and allows plenty of exposure to medical-based optometry! There are no other ophthalmologists within a 2-hour radius, so you’ll have ample opportunity to see ocular urgencies and keep up your optometric medical skills in additional to routine primary care. Excellent location, friendly community, and fantastic team to work with!

We are a well-equipped practice able to handle full-scope family optometry and are situated in a brand-new facility that hosts multiple exam lanes. We have state-of-the-art equipment including OCT, Optomap imaging, FDT, and pachymetry, as well as direct access to Medmont corneal topography/meibomianography, Humphrey visual field analyzer, and an in-house lab via our sister location.

Kindersley is a quieter, rural environment that is great for raising a family, yet a progressive community boasting many amenities including movie theatre, shopping, bowling alley, many esthetic services, a yoga studio, numerous restaurants, a new aquatic facility, lots of sporting and recreation opportunity, great schools, churches, cultural development, and wonderful people.   

We have good rapport with local physicians and have fun, caring, and professional staff, as well as a growing client base. We use Visual Eyes EHR system, which we have found excellent for new grads coming out of the University of Waterloo who are already using it, but also very easy to learn for those less familiar with it.

A competitive daily minimum and buy-in option can be discussed after the initial year of contract work. New grads are welcomed, and encouraged, as this is an ideal location to gain experience in all aspects of independent optometry! Experienced optometrists looking to join or buy into an established practice are also highly welcome!
